GCB/HIH U-19 50-Overs to recommence this weekend

The GCB/HIH Under-19 50-Overs Competition which was put on hold due to consistent inclement weather, is all set to recommence this weekend at the Guyana national Stadium.

The rain came and prevented the third round and final that were initially slated for April 29 and May 1 respectively. The rescheduled fixture has the third round to be played on Friday 20th May between Demerara and the Under-17s, and on Saturday 21st May between Berbice and Essequibo. The winner of the two matches would contest the final on Sunday 22nd May. All matches would start at 9:30 hours.

The squads are as follows:

Demerara: Travis Persaud (captain), Ronaldo Alimohamed (vice-captain), Ronaldo Renee, Raymond Perez, Sherfane Rutherford, Vishwanauth Ramlakhan, Malcom Hubbard, Ramnarine Chatura, Kelvin Shewpersaud, Romain Muniram, Darshan Persaud, Ershad Ali, Samuel McKenzie, Keshram Shabodan, and Gavin Boodwah. The Coach is Clive Grimmond and the Manager is Omar Hussain.

Essequibo: Keemo Paul (captain), Sachin Persaud (vice-captain), Akinie Adams, Looknauth Chinkoo, Siddiq Mohamed, Leslie Allen, Nathan Persaud, Jonathan Fernandes, Travay Wolfe, Dwayne Thomas, Satesh Lachana, Mark Williams, Reaz Khan, and Miguel Jones. The Coach is Nandkishure Andrews and the Manager is Forbes Daniels.

Selected U-17: Bhaskar Yadram (Captain), Kelvin Sinclair (Vice Captain), Joshua Persaud, Ashmead Nedd, Kurt Lovell, Rayon Venture, Javed Karim, Sagar Hathiramani, Steve Deonarine, Collin Barlow, Joshua Jones, Kelvin Umroa, Tameshwar Motiram, Kevlon Anderson, Alphius Bookie, Joel Fortune, and Sachin Singh. The Manager is Nazeer Mohamned and the Coach is Garvin Nedd.
