Scotiabank Kiddy Progression One Cricket… James leads Two Brothers Primary to victory

Junior James cracked 61 to spur Two Bothers Primary to victory over Kawall Primary while Vive la Force Primary defeated Nismes Primary as the GCB/Scotiabank Kiddy Progression One Cricket continued in the West Bank Demarara Zone.

In the first match of the West Bank Demarara zone, Kawall Primary took on Two Brothers. Kawall Primary batted first and scored 118/5 in their 14 overs as Khemraj Nohar top scored with an entertaining 55 which included four boundaries and five sixes. He was well supported by Rayan Latchman who scored 30 which was laced with 5 fours. Bowling for Two Brothers Primary, Saffrana Rasheed had 1/2.

In Reply, Junior James led Two Brothers as he smashed a blistering 61 out of the 119/1 his team scored as the reach their target in the 14th over. His innings was decorated with three well timed fours and 8 towering sixes. Rayan Latchman took the only wicket to fall.

The second match at the Wales ground saw Vive la Force tackle Nismes Primary. Vive la Force won the toss and batted first scoring 117/9 off their 14 overs. Danish Seepersaud was the top scorer with 19 runs. Bowling for Nismes Primary, Tyreca Wallace snared 2/2.

Nismes Primary in reply was restricted to 83/6 in their 14 overs with Emmanuel Phillips hitting a top score of 20. Bowling for Vive la Force, Vaneeta Mangal had 1/1.

Matches continue today, Monday, December 30, 2015 when Saraswat Primary plays Patentia Primary at Wales Community Centre ground.
