WI Women beat Pak Women to level series

Anisa Mohammed scored 19 runs and took two wickets to help West Indies Women beat Pakistan Women by three wickets in the second ODI at St. Lucia to level the series 1-1, ARY News reports.

WI Women won the toss and chose to field first.

Pakistan Women were all out on 149 runs. Nain Abidi was the top scorer for the green shirts with 48 runs from 82 balls whereas Bismah Maroof was retired hurt at 28 runs.

Marina Iqbal made 15 runs whereas Aliya Riaz and Asmavia Iqbal contributed 14 and 11 runs for their team respectively.

Anisa Mohammed and Hayley Matthews took two wickets for West Indies each whereas skipper Stafanie Taylor and Shamilia Connell dismissed one batswomen each.

West Indies Women, chasing 150 runs to win, reached the target in 46.5 overs with three wickers to spare.

Stafanie Taylor was the top scorer for the team with 49 runs whereas Kyshona A. Knight scored 28 runs in the match. Anisa Mohammed made 19 runs for the side.

Anam Amin took four wickets for Pakistan whereas Asmavia Iqbal took two wickets.

Anisa Mohammed was named the Player of the match.

The four match series is tied at 1-1. The third ODI will be played on October 21.
