…..Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Chanderpaul Hemraj are the replacements
Guyana’s informed batsmen, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan are injured and will be out of the second round of the Regional Four-Day Competition where Guyana will take on Barbados at the Guyana National Stadium from March 7 – 10, 2014.
The veterans’ injuries prevented them from competing in the first round of the competition against Jamaica and they will not recover for the second round. They will be replaced by the vibrant and talented youths, Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Chanderpaul Hemraj.
The younger Chanderpaul recently returned from the U-19 World Cup where the West Indies finished at sixth place. He was the West Indies most consistent batsman with two half centuries and one century.
The team reads: Sewnarine Chattergoon, Assad Fudadin, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Narsingh Deonarine, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Anthony Bramble, Christopher Barnwell (Captain), Amir Khan, Veerasammy Permaul (Vice Captain), Devendra Bishoo, Ronsford Beaton, Keon Joseph and Vishaul Singh. The Manager is Alvin Johnson and the Coach is Esuan Crandon, while Julian Moore will join the team as the Assistant Coach.
