Antigua & Barbuda’s Rahkeem Cornwall has been endorsed by Dazza Ultimate Performance Cricket Gear as one of its new brand ambassadors for the next two years.
This is according to a release from the Leeward Islands Cricket Board (LICB), which stated that the Antiguan all-rounder along with his Leeward Islands teammate Montcin Hodge of Anguilla have both been endorsed by the Trinidad based company.
The company also congratulated Cornwall on his selection to the West Indies A Team, and described the Antiguan as an aggressive middle-order batsman and useful off-break bowler.
“Dazza is extremely proud to endorse Rahkeem Cornwall and Montcin Hodge as our new brand ambassadors for a two-year period. Hodge, a naturally positive top order batsman currently plays with the Leeward Islands Cricket Team. Dazza also extends congratulations to Rahkeem Cornwall on being selected for the West Indies A Team, subsequent to a productive First Class season with the Leeward Islands Cricket Team. Cornwall, the 23-year-old Antiguan who made his first class debut in 2014 is known for his aggressive middle order batting and useful off-break bowling,” the release said.
Cricket broadcaster, former West Indies and Trinidad and Tobago captain and Dazza brand ambassador, Daren Ganga, welcomed the opportunity to support the Leeward Islands cricketing talent and further congratulated Cornwall on his selection for the West Indies A Team.
“We are thrilled by this exciting partnership and look forward to Cornwall and Hodge leading our brand and ethos with diligence and commitment as we anticipate a long and faithful relationship with our new brand ambassadors.”
Cornwall bagged six wickets for 87 runs as Sri Lanka ended the second day of the opening four-day “Test” against West Indies in Sri Lanka on 348 for eight in their first innings – a lead of 72 runs.
