Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago are set for a photo finish in the final round of the Regional Under-15 2016 which would be contested against each other on Wednesday, 3rd August, 2016 in Grenada. Play is scheduled to start at 9:00 hours.
Both of the teams are unbeaten. Trinidad and Tobago won all four of their matches while Guyana won three; one was abandoned due to rain. Currently Trinidad and Tobago is sitting at the top of the points table on 25.4 points and Guyana second on 20.7 points. A victory is awarded 5 points; hence, Guyana has the opportunity to take the title. Trinidad and Tobago on the other hand, will be looking to continue their excellent year of cricket so far (they won the U-17 and Women’s double championship).
Guyana defeated Windward Islands by seven wickets, Leeward Islands by six wickets, and Jamaica by 100 runs. The match between Guyana and Barbados was abandoned due to rain.
