Guyana Jaguars have made two changes to their team for the final round clash of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Professional Cricket League four-day against the Jamaica Scorpions, starting tomorrow, Friday, March 18, at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence.
Winning West Indies Under-19 World Cup captain, Shimron Hetmyer, and off-spinner, Steven Jacobs, have replaced the injured Shivnarine Chanderpaul and fast bowler, Ronsford Beaton in the 13-man squad for the all-important clash as the Guyana Jaguars seek to retain the regional four-day title they won last year.
After the 9th round, Jaguars was at the top of the points table on 130 points, seven points ahead of Barbados who would battle Leeward Islands Hurricanes at Warner Park in St. Kitts.
Jaguars’ squad reads: Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Rajendra Chandrika, Leon Johnson (Captain), Vishaul Singh (Vice-Captain), Shimron Hetmyer, Raymon Reifer, Anthony Bramble, Christopher Barnwell, Veerasammy Permaul, Gudakesh Motie, Devendra Bishoo, Keon Joseph, Steven Jacobs, Esuan Crandon (Coach), Rayon Griffith (Assistant Coach/Manager), and Beverly Nelson (Physio).
