The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), following its board of directors meeting in St. Lucia recently (December 12) submitted its response (position paper) to CARICOM on December 23.
The position from the WICB now has the submissions from the territorial boards as agreed. The WICB’s position was prepared with the assistance of noted counsel Anthony Waddy Astaphan SC. The paper looks carefully at how both organizations can work together for the “benefit of the improvement of cricket on and off the field.”
Following the meeting with the two groups earlier in December in Grenada, WICB and CARICOM have agreed to meet for a series of discussions to come to a consensus on what is deemed the very important matter of the governance of West Indies Cricket.
The details of the report will be made public shortly.
