Several players and members of management of the West Indies 2016 T20 World Cup winning teams were presented with their commemorative rings at a special ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Friday.The rings were presented by West Indies Cricket Board President Dave Cameron and CEO Michael Muirhead.
Friday’s recipients are currently in United States for the Florida leg of 2016 HERO CPL that got underway on Thursday.
The West Indies men and women’s team won respective T20 World Cup titles held in India between March 3 and April 3. The West Indies Under19 team also won the ICC Under-19 World Cup title in 2016 in February.
The other players from three teams were presented with their rings on Tuesday, July 19 at the fourth joint WICB/WIPA Awards in St John’s, Antigua.
The players and management receiving their rings on Friday were Ashley Nurse, Lendl Simmons, Samuel Badree, Evin Lewis, Dwayne Bravo, Sulieman Benn, Denesh Ramdin, Jonathan Carter, Andre Russell, Andre Fletcher, Daren Sammy, Johnson Charles, Andre Coley, Stuart Williams, Virgil Browne, and Jerome Taylor.Chris Gayle will receive his ring on another occasion.
Russell was receiving a second ring this week after tying the knot with his model girlfriend last Wednesday.
